These silicone mats are substantial, not super thin like other silicone mats. They are also solid, not a weave. They wash up nicely, fit the stainless steel sheet pans perfectly. They are good for keeping food from sticking to the pans and make clean up a breeze. You can also use parchment paper on top of the silicone mats. I do this if I am concerned about a little grease from a meat. I also love the stainless steel quarter sheet pans. We ordered an extra set. I looked at other quarter sheet pans, but almost all of them are aluminum and I am not keen on putting my food on them. The trays are very solid, have nicely rolled edges, not sharp and don't collect water. I also don't let them soak in water or put them in the dishwasher. The silicone mats and pans are super easy to wash with warm soapy water. Corey from Blue Alpine personally called to verify the item I order so I would receive exactly what I needed.
